This morning as we gather in Fredericton for our School Sport Canada National Meetings, our provincial and territorial partners took the time to educate and share as part of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
Each province was asked to present and identify whose territory their office is found on, the treaty that governs that land, as well as the closest Indigenous community to their home community. While meeting today we have the opportunity to learn how we can use our positions in sport governance to bring into reality the 5 calls to action from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission that govern sport organizations. For more information on sports and reconciliation please check out the following document.
