Charity Hearn from Crescent Heights High School in Medicine Hat is our Alberta Milk Female Athlete of the Month for January 2025!
This standout athlete averages 20 points a game, but her impact goes far beyond the scoreboard. Charity’s dedication to her team is unparalleled – she’s always the first one at practice and the last to leave, constantly working to improve her own game and lift up her teammates. Her selfless play and unwavering effort make her a true role model.
ASAA proudly names Ryder Parker of Medicine Hat High School our January 2025 Alberta Milk Male Athlete of the Month!
A three-year football and basketball star, Ryder led his team to a Zone Championship and earned MVP honors as a grade 11 player. Despite tearing his ACL this season, he battled back with rehab and a brace, leading his football team to another championship and now captaining the basketball team. His tenacious play and leadership, earning him the nickname “the spark plug,” were on full display in a recent key win.
Ryder’s dedication and inspirational comeback exemplify true sportsmanship.

Congratulations to our athletes of the month for January, Molly Robbins and Bersisa Harris.
Molly is a generous, encouraging, dedicated and positive young lady. in Harrison Trimble High School Cheer Team. Team Captain for the second year, she puts her team and her school above herself. She is involved in her school and the community by participating in cheerleading, cheerleading and football. Throughout their undefeated season, Molly led the team, communicated well with her teammates, and continues to show she is a great leader.
Bersisa is an athlete who participates in five sports and has so far had a remarkable hockey season. He is a natural leader, captain of the golf and hockey team, who plays plenty of minutes for his team. Whatever the role or position, he steps in and does the right thing. He was recognized as one of the stars in two of three tournaments held since the beginning of the season. Coaches emphasize his willingness to put the team first and talk about his coaching ability. His leadership also extends off the ice as he gives back to his community by hosting the Pink in the Rink Game, which raised $1,600 for the Charlotte County Cancer Society. He is also a part of the St. Stephen HS driving team. He is a student who takes his studies very seriously.
